Kilncast glass slabs for Spring Benefit sale @ UT Arlington

This semester I’ve been making these cast glass slabs for our upcoming UTA Glass benefit sale. These will be ground and polished throughout the month of April 2025 for the early May sale. I am fabricating metal and powder coated stands to hold these vertically. I should have 3 or 4 completed. It’s important we get some good sales at the benefit since UTA Glass department is hosting the Glass Artist Society annual conference this coming May and it’s an expensive endeavor to host the weekend conference. Proceeds of the benefit will help fund the department through the conference and Fall 2025 semester. We are primarily a self-funded facility with 90% of our operating budget paid for through proceeds from our Spring and Holiday benefit sales.
